While there is a lot to love at Celtic Lodge, some guests note that the peak times can lead to longer wait times for food. Busy Saturday evenings often crowd the space, which may not suit those seeking a quieter meal. A few guests have mentioned the need for more variety in late-night food options, particularly for those who want something beyond standard fare. Occasionally, the venue can feel a bit hectic during large events, which may detract from the cozy atmosphere some diners seek. However, proactive reservation planning helps mitigate this.
We had our wedding here in April. Fantastic cosy venue for your special day. Staff are fantastic. Room was perfectly decorated for the ceremony and the meal. Everyone complimented the food. Not a crumb remained. Having the exclusive option is great. We had a blast. So did our guests. Special mention to Lisa and Clive. Amazing team. Thank you

Everything was well planed and thought out even down to the fine details I couldn’t have asked for anything else. Nothing was to of an ask. I highly recommend doing a wedding here they are spectacular. We have also been going regularly just for food and we’ve never had a bad meal from there. Highly recommend going for food.
Absolutely stunning food, freshly cooked and served boiling hot. We had the Wednesday pie, mash and minted mushy peas special. Great value for money. Staff are very friendly. Relaxed homely atmosphere with a welcoming real log fire. We have eaten here many times, food is always excellent quality and fantastic portions. We are happy to spend an evening here with our family.

Got married at the Celtic Lodge on 3/10/24 and couldnt fault the venue. Was a lovely day so we opted to marry outside and caren the organiser was an amazing host looking after the details and us. We just told her what we wanted and it was all taken carenof even the decorations. I would highly recommend. Also we asked for a few vegan options for the buffet and that was taken care of and plated up per person to stop contamination from the buffet.
